The mystical dim lighting and eclectic lounge music at Shang Palace make it the perfect spot for a dinner among friends, off-the-clock business meetings, or an intimate date night.

Here, Shangri-La’s signature Chinese restaurant is tastefully decorated with Chinese vases, rugs, and artefacts. Set on the 4th floor of its Jeddah location, the restaurant boasts unobstructed views of the corniche boardwalk and the Red Sea beyond it, ideal for a sunset meal.

In the kitchen, award-winning Chef Keith Yeap delivers a soulful and modern culinary experience. For meat lovers, the Wagyu Pastry Puff starter is a must, and although the Traditional Wood Chips Roasted Peking Duck is all the buzz, it's the dim sum that stands out for us.

Make sure to order the Shang Palace Signature Dim Sum Platter, which offers a selection of delicately crafted seafood dumplings. Better yet, head over for a weekend lunch and enjoy their unlimited dim sum offer (every Friday and Saturday, 1-4pm), which also includes a choice of two main courses, desserts, and specialty Chinese tea.

With cooler weather upon us, warm up with a bowl of spicy Hot and Sour Noodles, followed by the signature Wok-Fried Camel Rib Eye Steak, cooked in Jin Lan sauce for an innovative Asian twist on a local delicacy.

If you’re feeling up for a little adventure, the waitstaff is extremely well trained, and we advise asking for suggestions on current specials and popular items.

Our recommendation? Don’t skip the drinks menu. From the sparkling Something Blue to the mysterious Black Diamond, each mocktail is crafted to offer a medley of fresh aromas and vibrant colours to create a multi-sensory experience in every sip.
