Hidden Gem: Le Maschou, Riyadh's secret French haven

Located in the capital’s Diplomatic Quarter, on Tayma Street, and hidden away in a quiet garden, Le Maschou brings a storied French fine dining experience to Saudi.

Since its flagship restaurant opened in Cannes in 1963, the authentic French eatery has cultivated a reputation for serving traditional fare, in particular high-grade steaks, cooked using the classic wooden fire, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The restaurant's Riyadh outpost – its only international branch – has attracted celebrities like Cristiano Ronaldo, David Guetta, and Steve Aoki, undoubtedly drawn to the location to experience the traditional French cuisine and its secluded charm.

A Touch of French Elegance

Beyond the food, Le Maschou's attentive service and sophisticated atmosphere make it the perfect place for a special occasion or a romantic dinner

As you might expect, Le Maschou's aesthetic is unmistakably French, featuring towering rustic, natural stone-lined walls, with the stones arranged in a slightly irregular pattern. The indoor decor includes a grand domed section, where tables are set with enhancing floral tablecloths, candles, and a signature pink rose – simple yet classic touches. Outdoors, the seating area is equally refined, surrounded by trees and flowers, creating an atmosphere of quiet sophistication.
