Tuwaiq Sculpture has returned to Riyadh, this time, for its seventh edition.

Taking place from January 10 to February 22, 2026, the Tuwaiq Sculpture Festival is transforming the city’s urban landscape under the theme, “Traces of What Will Be.” This year, the international symposium invites 25 visionary artists from 18 different countries to engage in a month-long live sculpting event on Tahlia Street.

Bringing together a selection of sculptors and artists from across Saudi Arabia and around the world, this year's edition of Tuwaiq Sculpture has been guided by an all-female curatorial team — Sarah Staton, Rut Blees Luxemburg, and Lulwah Al Homoud. The seventh edition of the festival explores the concept of transformation through two distinct material categories: locally sourced granite (often integrated with stainless steel) and reclaimed metal. These monumental works are created in an open-air studio on Riyadh's popular Tahlia Street, allowing the public to witness the evolution of raw materials into permanent public art that will eventually join the Riyadh Art collection and be installed across the capital.

What is the Tuwaiq Sculpture Festival?

Tuwaiq Sculpture is an annual international symposium and exhibition that brings together artists from around the world to shape large-scale works in an open-air studio setting. The program celebrates the enduring power of sculptural practice as a form of cultural dialogue, encouraging artistic experimentation, technical mastery, and an exchange of ideas. By transforming raw materials into lasting public artworks, Tuwaiq Sculpture contributes to Riyadh’s evolving urban landscape while fostering a deeper public appreciation for the creative process behind monumental art.
