From moonlit concerts to marathon races, the 2025–2026 AlUla Moments calendar is packed with reasons to visit Saudi Arabia's most scenic cultural destination. Unveiled by the Royal Commission for AlUla, the year-round programme brings together a rich blend of music, wellness, art, food and sport set against the dramatic sandstone backdrops of AlUla.
When
The calendar kicks off in September 2025 with the return of AZIMUTH, a desert music festival marking Saudi National Day weekend, and runs through to early 2026, concluding with the AlUla Trail Race and world-class endurance events in February.
Where
Expect events across AlUla’s most iconic sites, from Hegra (Saudi’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site) to the sandstone cliffs near Ashar Valley, to the lush oasis of AlJadidah Arts District. Each event is designed to spotlight AlUla’s unique mix of heritage, nature, and contemporary culture.
The Theme: A Destination Reimagined
AlUla Moments is a storytelling platform that celebrates Saudi heritage, fosters community and invites the world to see AlUla anew. From fashion and falconry to gastronomy and gallery-hopping, each activation reflects the region's evolution into a world-class destination rooted in both history and modernity.

AZIMUTH (September 25-26)
Set against the dramatic rock formations of Thanaya, AZIMUTH returns to AlUla on 25–26 September 2025 for another high-energy weekend of music, art and desert magic. Organised by MDLBEAST, the two-night event blends global electronic beats with the raw beauty and cultural richness of the region. Expect awe-inspiring stage design, roaming performances, immersive art installations, and a stellar lineup that continues to push creative boundaries. While the final line-up is yet to be announced, artists include MËSTIZA, Mind Against, Shimza, Skladios, Bedouin Burger and more, hinting at another unforgettable celebration under the stars.
AlUla Wellness Festival (October 24 - November 1)
The AlUla Wellness Festival is a celebration of fitness, mindfulness and holistic wellbeing. The festival offers something for every pace, including yoga sessions at sunrise, high-intensity athletic challenges, sound healing, movement workshops, nourishing food experiences, and live music under the stars. Take part in the AlUla Duathlon, Half Marathon, the Ashar Valley Triathlon, 24 hour Endurance Race, Yoga Programme, and more (or find a shady spot on the sidelines to cheer on your friends and family).
Ancient Kingdoms Festival (November 20 - December 6)
A deep dive into AlUla’s past with archaeological activations and storytelling experiences. Highlights include candlelit concerts at Hegra, drone shows, and the Incense Road Experience. Take full advantage of the area's incredible history and step back in time with a series of incredible experiences.
Winter at Tantora (December 18 - January 10)
As winter sets in, AlUla transforms into a cultural haven with the return of Winter at Tantora. Named after the ancient sundial in Old Town that once signalled the start of the agricultural season, the festival blends tradition with contemporary flair. Visitors can expect weeks of world-class concerts, immersive art installations, culinary showcases, and intimate cultural encounters. Whether you're drawn to music, food, or history, Winter at Tantora offers a multisensory journey into AlUla’s rich heritage and striking landscapes.
AlUla Arts Festival (January 15 to February 16)
AlUla Arts Festival is a bold, annual showcase of creativity where ancient heritage meets cutting-edge contemporary art. Set against AlUla’s dramatic landscapes, the festival brings together immersive exhibitions, large-scale installations, and live performances that spark conversation and connection.
