Gipsy Kings will perform in Riyadh for the first time this September

The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) has announced two major musical evenings this September, bringing world-class performers to the Kingdom’s capital. On Thursday, September 18, the legendary Gipsy Kings featuring Tonino Baliardo will take the stage, blending their signature mix of Spanish flamenco and Latin pop.

Two days later, on Saturday, September 20, acclaimed sitar virtuoso Anoushka Shankar will perform, showcasing her innovative fusion of classical Indian traditions with modern, experimental sounds.

The concerts are part of Riyadh’s wider cultural transformation, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy to diversify its economy and position the Kingdom as a global hub for entertainment and tourism. With mega-events like Riyadh Season drawing international stars and visitors, the city is investing heavily in cultural infrastructure designed to elevate residents’ quality of life while attracting travellers seeking new cultural experiences.

By hosting artists of such international calibre, RCRC is not only expanding Riyadh’s arts scene but also signalling the Kingdom’s ambition to be at the forefront of the global cultural calendar.

Tickets for both events are available through Platinum List. Early bird tickets for the Gipsy Kings and for Anoushka Shankar start at 80 SAR.
