Riyadh has been confirmed as the host of WrestleMania 43 in 2027, marking the first time WWE’s flagship event will be held outside North America.

The announcement came from HE Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, alongside WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque — better known to fans as Triple H. The event will headline Riyadh Season 2027, with the promise of delivering “a WrestleMania unlike anything the world has ever seen.”

For fans, it means more than just the big night. The week-long spectacle will bring Friday Night SmackDown, Monday Night Raw, NXT fan experiences, and appearances from international wrestling superstars. Expect record-breaking crowds and all the over-the-top drama that has made WrestleMania a global phenomenon.

Saudi Arabia is no stranger to WWE spectacles, having hosted Crown Jewel, Elimination Chamber, King & Queen of the Ring, and Night of Champions. The Royal Rumble 2026 is also set for Riyadh, making the Kingdom one of the sport’s biggest global stages.

Dates and venues for WrestleMania 43 are still under wraps, but one thing is clear: Riyadh is about to step into the ring in a way no city outside North America ever has.

Boxing

Riyadh Season's sports legacy

Riyadh Season has become a global entertainment powerhouse, pulling in the world’s biggest names across music, sport and live shows. Boxing has been one of its standout successes, and the city is now raising the stakes. In January, organisers announced the launch of the Riyadh Season Boxing World Cup, set to debut in 2025.

Unveiled at the World Boxing Council’s Annual Convention in Hamburg, the tournament will feature 128 fighters across four weight divisions — Featherweight, Super Lightweight, Middleweight and Heavyweight — competing in a series of five events before a championship final. His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, described the project as both a personal passion and a continuation of Saudi’s sporting ambitions, while WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman called it the realisation of a vision first imagined by his late father, Don Jose.
