Most of Dammam’s best beauty salons are concentrated in Al Khobar, where there’s no end of gorgeous places to get pampered in, from hair glossing treatments and subtle brow tints to neon nails and a blissful hot stone massage.
All budgets are catered for, with cheap and cheerful nail bars available across town and in most of the malls. At the pricier end of the scale, there are also luxurious beauty retreats in destination salons and some of the region’s top-end hotels. Book these in advance if you feel like treating yourself.
Most salons stay open until late at night – perfect if you’re making a girlie evening of it with friends or just trying to find some me-time after a busy day. These are some of the best salons in Dammam.
1. Amber Beauty Lounge
Amber Lounge is an excellent choice for anyone looking to get their hair, nails or lashes done at very reasonable prices. Based in Al Gosaibi Village near Al Khobar Corniche, this busy beauty spot is decked out in a chic black and white colour scheme, with modern, minimalist vibes. Salon staff get rave reviews from customers for their attention to detail and professionalism. On the menu, you’ll find a long list of hair services – highlights, contouring, roots or full hair colour, plus a range of deep conditioning treatments.
Amber Salon also does a good line in mani-pedis, with French, ombre, and classic manicures available as well as delicate and creative nail art. Lash extensions and refills are also on offer. Got a loved one in need of a beauty pick-me-up? Amber has gift cards available that you can buy online and top up with an amount of your choosing between SAR 100 and 600. A 30-minute classic manicure starts at SAR 70.
2. 34 Beauty Lounge
Visit 34 Beauty Lounge to have your hair and nails tended to by dedicated, professional staff. This dreamy, softly-lit beauty and well-being venue is split into a spa and a salon, both located close to Al Khobar’s northern corniche. An extensive range of repair, straightening and smoothing treatments are available (many using Kevin Murphy products) as well as scalp care, colour and touch-ups and glamorous blow-drys.
For nails, choose from regular or gel polish, acrylics and extensions, or for extra wow-factor, go for cat eye nail art done with gel polish. Meanwhile at 34 The Spa, it’s all about relaxation. Massage options include Swedish massage with hot stones, pregnancy, reflexology and sports massages, or a wood therapy treatment aimed at body sculpting and reducing cellulite. A birthday package, which includes a classic mani-pedi and blowdry, costs SAR 350.
3. N.Bar
N.Bar is an international chain specialising in nails, brows and lashes, and has branches across the world from Vancouver to London. There are several popular bars in the KSA too, with one in Al Khobar’s Business Gate. Visit for their incredible range of lash services – N.Bar offers lash lifts and tints for a natural look as well as a range of extensions styles.
Opt for a 30-minute on-the-go service that lasts two weeks, or go all out for a full set of Russian lash extensions for a high-volume, dramatic look. N.Bar’s brow services also come highly recommended, with waxing, threading, tinting, lamination and microblading all available, depending on how intense and long-lasting you want the results to be. A full set of lash extensions costs SAR 552.
4. Nirvana Spa
Ready for some serious pampering? The Nirvana Spa in Al Khobar’s Grand Hyatt hotel is regarded as one of the most luxurious in the region, and comes fully equipped with jacuzzi, sauna, steam rooms and Moroccan baths. It’s also one of the top spots in Dammam for facials, with treatments that take 60-90 minutes and address a range of issues.
Try the Nirvana Detox for an exfoliating and hydrating treatment that leaves skin looking ultra-healthy, or the Nirvana Acne/Oily Skin for deep-pore cleansing and a healing mask. The prices may be high, but the beautiful setting, with its polished marble surfaces and mood lighting, is suitably opulent and facialists consistently get absolutely glowing reviews. Finish off your treatment unwinding in the soothing relaxation room with complimentary tea and dates. A Nirvana Detox Facial costs SAR 800.
5. The Sanctuary Salon and Spa
Cool grey decor and plenty of greenery give The Sanctuary a sophisticated, unpretentious vibe. Visit for top-to-toe grooming at reasonable, mid-range prices – especially all things hair removal. Waxing, threading and bleaching services are available, as well as specialist hair care. There are intensive protein treatments offered for all hair types from long fine hair to 4C type curls, plus targeted hair masks.
Colouring and styling (glam, special-occasion updos or retro styles are available) are done here too. Finish your new look with a classic mani-pedi. Customers enjoy the relaxing, home-from-home atmosphere that’s created by welcoming and attentive staff. A basic manicure costs SAR 60.
6. Blanc Salon
You’re spoiled for choice with great nail bars all across Dammam, but Al Khobar’s Blanc Salon is one of the best. Everything mani-pedi is on the menu here, from a speedy mini-manicure or quick polish change to full manicures with gel, ceramic colour, cat eye polish or chrome powder, plus endless nail art options. Take a look at Blanc’s Instagram account for inspiration, where you’ll see everything from tiny gold stars to red love hearts and glittery tips.
The salon’s signature is the pampering Spa Manicure, an hour-long session that includes exfoliation, nail reshaping, cuticle cleaning, a hand massage and of course colour too. Blanc Salon also does threading, waxing and eyebrow tints, among other beauty services. A gel manicure costs SAR 70.
