Over the course of two days, Friday May 9 and Saturday May 10, the Arabian Warrior AlUla events will bring a series of exciting and challenging races to the ancient city. From family friendly 1 kilometre race distances, to challenging yet achievable 5km and 10km courses, right through to the more intense 50km route for the ultra-elite athletes looking for a challenge in a once-in-a-lifetime destination.
Taking place amidst the breathtaking landscapes of one of Saudi Arabia's most iconic historical sites, the AlUla edition of this competitive and intense obstacle course race promises an unforgettable fusion of athletic prowess and cultural heritage.
One of the toughest and most barren landscapes in the world, this intense athletic event will challenge even the most experienced of sports people. The obstacle course has been designed to showcase the strength, agility, and resilience of athletes who embody the spirit of the Arabian Warrior.
The AlUla event is expected to attract over 1,500 participants, including a number of globally recognised obstacle course athletes. The synergy between AlUla's ancient heritage and the contemporary spirit of challenging course will create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere for competitors and spectators alike.
Event highlights include two days of thrilling competition featuring elite 10km and 20km races for both men and women, two further elite team races in a 50km ultra-endurance format, a dynamic 5km team race, along with open categories for 5km, 10km, and 20km distances. The event will also host KSA Schools Championships, encouraging youth participation with races for Under-13 and 13+ team competitions, fostering the next generation of OCR athletes.

Participants can enjoy an immersive camping experience with three nights under the stars with glamping and traditional options, and tailored travel packages will be available to explore the beauty of AlUla beyond the event. A vibrant event village will offer daytime challenges, nighttime Desert BBQs, a Moonlight Cinema, and performances by a top Saudi DJ, while an epic prize purse will be awarded across elite categories.
The Arabian Warrior series has seen tremendous growth since its inception in 2024, following successful events in Jeddah (December 2024) and Riyadh (January 2025). The upcoming event in AlUla promises to be a pinnacle, blending athletic competition with the rich cultural and natural heritage of Saudi Arabia.
