This week, to further enhance the Riyadh Season experience, it was announced that Saudi locals and residents over the age of 60 would get free entry into the festivities.
Riyadh Season is Saudi Arabia's premier annual entertainment and tourism extravaganza, and this year's festivities kicked off on October 12 with a massive boxing showdown and of course an opening ceremony concert that was one for the books.
In an effort to further enhance the Riyadh Season experience, this free entry for over-60s initiative was spearheaded by His Excellency and GEA Chairman Turki Alalshikh.
Aiming to make the celebrations more accessible, seniors can obtain their free entry cards through the Tawakkalna app. Seniors can simply show their Tawakkalna application at designated gates to gain free entry to select areas, including Boulevard World, Boulevard Runway, Wonder Garden, Riyadh Zoo, Al-Suwaidi Park, and Souq Al-Awaleen.

While the free entry offer extends to most of the season zones and areas, it's important to note that reserved seating events, such as concerts, plays, and boxing matches still require separate ticketing arrangements and purchases which can be found using the WeBook platform.
This year, online ticketing portal WeBook was made the official ticket purchasing platform of the event. In addition to a more straightforward purchasing and booking experience, the decision to make WeBook the official platform for Riyadh Season tickets was also to directly combat the black market and reselling of tickets for inflated prices.
It was and is hoped that this more clear and transparent ticketing process will allow for the exciting events of Riyadh Season to be more accessible to all.
Since its launch on October 12, Riyadh Season has captivated both locals and tourists from around the world, and the opening week of this year's edition clocked an impressive two million visitors in just one week. This year's edition features 14 zones, 11 world championships, and 10 exhibitions, offering a diverse range of entertainment options.
By making Riyadh Season more accessible to seniors, the organisers are demonstrating their commitment to creating memorable and inclusive experiences for all. This free entry for over 60s is an initiative that only further solidifies Riyadh Season's position as a leading entertainment destination in the region.
