Those craving adventure can dive straight into the Red Sea with a wide range of water sports operated by 17SIXTY, one of the region’s premier water activity providers. Activities include jetskiing, parasailing, monoskiing, waterskiing, water jousting, inflatable tanning floats, Red Sea Rush rides, and Seabreacher adventures.

While the sea may steal the spotlight, Shades Beach ensures the fun continues on land. Spa Gazebo by the Sea
For those chasing a more indulgent kind of beach day, the boho-style spa gazebo by The Blue spa brings barefoot luxury to the shoreline. Open Fridays and Saturdays from 12pm to 8pm, the setup features open-air massage beds and panoramic sea views, pairing skilled therapists with a menu of wellness massages and nail services. Shades Beach also occasionally offers yoga and fitness sessions.
Seaside Sushi by Zn
Food and drink are central to the Shades Beach experience, and at the heart of it all is Zn – a beloved name in Jeddah’s sushi scene. Now available seaside, Zn brings its signature rolls, fresh sashimi, and curated Japanese-inspired dishes to one of the city’s most scenic beachfronts.
Alongside it, Olivio serves a broad, all-day menu of beachside classics and international favourites – served poolside, on the beach or at the restaurant. Think hearty sandwiches, crisp salads, comforting pastas, and satisfying mains. A favourite is the chilled fresh fruit platter, served on ice right on your sunbed.

Glamping Pods and Waterfront Chalets
Overnight guests can choose between two types of accommodation, each combining comfort with refined coastal style. The glamping pods are compact and elegant, designed in a studio layout with a sea view, bed, small lounge area, private bathroom, and small outdoor terrace – perfect for morning coffee or a sunset wind down. They’re ideal for solo travellers or couples looking for a quiet, design-led stay by the water. For those needing more space, waterfront chalets are available in one- or two-bedroom options, offering private entrances, airy interiors, direct beach access, and generous outdoor terraces for lounging or dining alfresco.
Prices for glamping pods range from 975 to 1,700 riyals per night. One-bedroom chalets range from 1,650 to 2,200 riyals per night, while the larger two-bedroom chalets range from 3,750 to 5,000 riyals per night. Check-in starts at 3pm and checkout is by noon. For shorter stays, Shades Beach also offers Saturday half-day bookings on both glamping pods and chalets.
Daily Access Prices & Memberships
Shades offers a range of entry options to suit every kind of guest, with prices varying by day and guest type. On Fridays and Saturdays, entry is 560 riyals per couple, 500 riyals for men, and 280 riyals for women.
Midweek rates offer a more accessible way to enjoy the Shades Beach experience. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, couples enter for 400 riyals, men for 350 riyals, and women for 200 riyals.
On Wednesdays, while men and families are still welcome to join, women enjoy a special Ladies’ Day offer with entry priced at just 150 riyals.
No matter the day, each adult guest can bring along up to two children under 10 and one domestic helper free of charge.
For regular visitors, annual memberships provide added value and flexibility. The solo package (16,500 riyals) includes daily access and monthly guest privileges for up to four companions. The duo membership (26,500 riyals) covers two guests with additional allowances, while the group package (52,000 riyals) includes four members with the most generous access. All membership tiers come with 20% off all accommodation types and exclusive pricing for special events.
Beach gazebos are available for booking at an additional charge, offering a more private, elevated way to enjoy the shore. Each gazebo accommodates up to six guests and features shaded seating along with two tanning beds, ideal for sunbathing, relaxing with friends, or simply unwinding by the sea in comfort. Guests can also enjoy a full food and beverage service, including hookah, delivered directly to their gazebo.
Private Events
Beyond leisure, Shades Beach doubles as a sophisticated event venue. With flexible indoor and outdoor spaces, it’s equipped to host weddings, brand launches, and corporate gatherings.
