Following a period of strategic network expansion and international stoppages, Saudi's aviation industry is experiencing a renewed sense of momentum as Flyadeal officially inaugurates its direct service between King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) and Dubai International Airport (DXB).
This new direct route marks a significant chapter in the airline’s international growth strategy, responding to a surge in demand for efficient, high-frequency travel between two of the region's most influential cities. Initially operating with a frequency of three flights per week, the service provides a streamlined connection for a diverse range of travellers. For the business community, it offers a cost-effective and agile link between the Gulf’s primary economic engines. Simultaneously, for leisure and religious travellers, the route simplifies the journey for those using Jeddah as a springboard to the Holy Cities of Makkah and Madinah, or those seeking a weekend in Dubai’s vibrant city centre.

The launch is part of a broader expansion of Flyadeal's regional, and soon-to-be international footprint. Parallel to the new Jeddah service, the airline has successfully reinstated its Riyadh-to-Dubai operations to a daily schedule, with clear plans to ramp up to four daily flights in the coming months. This dual-city approach ensures that the Kingdom’s two major metropolitan hubs are now more accessible to the UAE than ever before, reflecting a wider regional trend toward seamless, borderless mobility.
This expansion signals a shift in the low-cost carrier model within the Gulf. By deploying its modern fleet of Airbus A320neo aircraft on these high-traffic routes, Flyadeal is positioning itself as more than just a budget alternative; it is becoming a facilitator of the seamless movement modern travellers demand.
Flyadeal route between King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) and Dubai International Airport (DXB) will begin on April 15, and operate three times weekly.
