Saudia has unveiled 8 new direct European flight routes

Scheduled to launch in summer 2025, these new flight routes reflect a 16% increase in international guest numbers last year

If you're readying for another Euro-Summer, Saudia are making it even easier for Saudi Arabian travellers to get to the hottest destinations in Europe this summer with the announcement of whole host of new and exciting direct routes. 

The Kingdom's national airline, Saudia has already made waves internationally, as in 2024, the airline's first class experience was ranked in 8th place on Skytrax's list of the World's Best First Class. Saudia placed ahead of both regional and international players in the aviation industry, such as British Airways, Qantas, Etihad and Cathay Pacific.

The airline continues to grow its flight paths, and offer more and more options to discerning travellers. In 2024, Saudia introduced a number of exciting routes such as Riyadh and Jeddah direct to Phuket, Riyadh to Nice, Jeddah to Athens, Dammam to Beijing and most recently, the airline will launch a regular service connecting Neom Bay to London Heathrow.

In the summer of 2024, Saudia embraced the Euro-Summer trend and announced that three new European destinations would be added to the airline's flight roster: Nice, Malaga and Athens. These flight routes will return once again for summer 2025. 

In addition to these three returning routes, five new European cities will be serviced, one Far East destination and three local Middle Eastern routes have been unveiled by Saudia for the summer of 2025.

Director General of Saudia Group, Engr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, said: “Following last year’s operational success, we’ve implemented a strategic plan for 2025 to ensure continued excellence and meet rising international travel demand."

The airline's existing network, which already encompasses over 100 destinations across four continents, is now expanding to include these new routes. And Al-Omar also stated that these new routes were carefully selected following extensive research and data analysis; “Our destination selection is based on comprehensive feasibility studies and guest preferences."
