Hotel Review: Titanic Hotel Liverpool, UK

The Titanic's legacy stretches across the British Isles, from the luxury liner's birthplace in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to Liverpool and its port of embarkation in Southampton, England. This historical trail, connecting these key locations, tells the story of the world's most famous ocean liner, the Titanic.

Recognising this significance, Harcourt Developments has masterfully created a series of hotels celebrating the Titanic's heritage and memorable locations.

Titanic Hotel Liverpool

In Belfast, they developed a vibrant district complete with a hotel and a full Titanic-themed experience. In Liverpool, where the Titanic was registered before setting sail, they established the Titanic Hotel. And now, the company is preparing to open a new hotel in Southampton, the port city from which the Titanic embarked on its first and final voyage.

Titanic Hotel Liverpool was once a bustling port-side warehouse, which has now been beautifully transformed into a modern luxury hotel that seamlessly blends Victorian charm with contemporary design. This unique property is not only a sought-after accommodation option but also a significant cultural asset for the city of Liverpool.

The Location & Getting There

Set on the historic Stanley Dock along Liverpool’s River Mersey, the Titanic Hotel is a stunning blend of history and modernity. Opened in 2014, the hotel offers world-class hospitality in a beautifully restored warehouse dating back to 1848. Despite suffering damage during wartime air raids and being rebuilt in the 1950s, the building retains its striking Victorian architecture, now paired with four-star contemporary amenities.

The hotel's prime location provides easy access to some of Liverpool’s top attractions, including the Museum of Liverpool, the Western Approaches Museum, and Albert Dock. It’s also just a five-minute drive or quick walk from Liverpool’s bustling city centre. James Street, home of the White Star Line – a must see spot for Titanic fans – is also just minutes from the hotel's front door.

With its location in mind, the hotel is well connected, and is also only about thirty minutes from Liverpool's John Lennon Airport by car, or two hours direct from London's Euston train station, making the Titanic Hotel Liverpool an ideal weekend getaway for those seeking to discover a different side to the United Kingdom.

The Ambiance

The Titanic Hotel delivers a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views of the surrounding waterfront. Its charm and tranquility have made it a preferred choice for Liverpool FC players before home games at Anfield. Lucky guests might even spot players in the lobby on match days.

To ensure convenience, the hotel offers ample parking, with 133 spaces directly opposite the hotel and 300 additional spaces nearby for a modest nightly fee of £8 (approximately 40 SAR).

Although a small change, the hotel aims to ensure that this reflects the hotel's dedication to sustainability.

The bamboo used for the pen barrels is biodegradable, offering a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional plastic. Furthermore, the pens incorporate recyclable ABS plastic trim, ensuring that every component can be repurposed.
