Prices for accommodation vary a lot in Tabuk, and indeed throughout the Kingdom. As well as seasonal fluctuations, there’s a surprising range of options in the region, from Red Sea-adjacent luxury hotels to wallet-friendly, simple rooms and family apartments. Whatever your budget (and whether you’re travelling alone, with friends or with the whole family in tow), there’s something for everyone.
1. Royal L’azure Resort
Around two hours from Tabuk city, the Royal L’azure Resort overlooks the Red Sea - its doors open out into a beach dotted with palm trees and pretty frond umbrellas. The perfect place to escape the city for a few days, you could spend your time here lazing by the pool or taking in the sunset from one of the beach dining tables. If you’re looking for more active pursuits, there’s snorkelling and diving close by, a kids’ playground, table tennis, billiards and tennis courts. The hotel also has a babysitting service, so you can tuck the kids into bed before going out for dinner by the sea.
Rooms start from SAR 844 per night.
2. Grand Millennium Tabuk
The imposing Grand Millennium Tabuk is a five-star offering, handily located close to the airport. The hotel comes complete with everything you’d expect from such a rating – spa, sauna, indoor and outdoor pools, and rooms with full amenities. It’s a great choice for families – as well as having a kids’ play area on-site, there are also tennis courts and a restaurant serving an excellent homemade buffet breakfast. No need to rush the little ones out first thing in the morning! Note that Grand Millennium is right at the edge of town, so while it’s close to the airport, it’s slightly further from local restaurants and attractions.
Rooms start from SAR 734 per night.
3. Five Seasons Hotel
You’ll find this five-star hotel right outside the international airport and this establishment very much has upscale traveller written all over it. Sleek interiors, excellent service and a helpful concierge set this place apart, while the pools and spa make for a relaxing stay. Although the hotel’s ambience seems set up to appeal to business travellers, there’s also a kids’ club and family dining – it really does offer a little something for everyone. Oh, and did we mention there’s a swimming pool? Perfect for the whole family. Rooms range from the standard double all the way up to full suites.
Rooms from SAR 631 per night.
4. Biz Hotel Apartments
This aparthotel, which is close to the airport, is handy for those who’d rather be a little more independent. Each well-appointed apartment comes with its own little kitchen, so you can save money by self-catering rather than going to restaurants every time. Biz Hotel is also pretty easy on the wallet, so is a great budget option (and the simple, clean rooms are perfectly acceptable for the price). Shopping and restaurant options are reasonably close by, but it’s a 10-minute drive rather than a walk.
Apartments from SAR 395 per night.
5. Marvelous Hotel
This cube-like hotel may not be at the luxury end of the market but it's close to the airport, a short drive into the centre of the city and – most importantly – is very kind on the wallet. The lobby is sleek and clean, with marble floors, plain walls and striking pillars, and the staff are very helpful with check in and local information. There’s a fitness centre, free parking and a surprisingly good, fresh buffet breakfast. This hotel is better suited to adults looking for simple city digs than families with kids.
Rooms from SAR267 per night.
6. House Express
Location, location, location – House Express is within walking distance of shopping centres and a number of restaurants, as well as King Abdulaziz Park and Garden and Tabuk Zoo. It’s a perfect spot for families or those looking to explore the area on foot (particularly during the cooler months). You’ll also find Tabuk Castle and the Hejaz Railway within a few kilometres of your front door. There’s a restaurant on site, but with so many options locally, you’re spoilt for choice. As well as being close to local attractions, House Express is also a great budget option, but as a reasonably new hotel, it’s clean, the decor is fresh, and it’s decent value for money.
Rooms from SAR 378 per night.
