The new direct route took to the skies officially on May 19, and now with multiple weekly flights, passengers can experience Parisian elegance and Saudi hospitality with ease

Air France launches direct flights between Riyadh and Paris

Air France has officially launched its direct flights between Riyadh and Paris, marking a significant milestone in strengthening travel and business ties between Saudi Arabia and France.

This new route, which commenced on May 19, 2025, offers travellers a seamless connection between King Khalid International Airport (RUH) in Riyadh and Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), enhancing accessibility for both leisure and business passengers.

The service initially operates three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays until June 1, 2025. After this date, the frequency will increase to five weekly flights, adding Tuesdays and Sundays to the schedule.

These flights are operated on the Airbus A350-900, a state-of-the-art aircraft featuring 34 Business Class seats, 24 Premium Economy seats, and 266 Economy seats, ensuring a comfortable journey for all passengers.

The launch of this route is more than just a travel convenience, it represents a strategic gateway between two influential capitals. With Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative driving tourism and global connectivity, this new service supports expanding business exchanges, cultural interactions, and tourism growth. French Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, H.E. Patrick Maisonnave, emphasised that this flight is “a bridge between two great nations,” inviting Saudi travellers to experience French luxury, culture, and hospitality.

Introducing Air France's La Première Suites

In April of this year, Air France unveiled its new La Première suites, a breathtaking re-imagination of flying First Class. The newly redesigned La Première suites will debut in spring 2025, first on routes between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and New York's JFK, followed by Los Angeles, Singapore, and Tokyo's Haneda Airport later in the summer.

Developed over three years, these luxurious suites feature five expansive windows, a signature element exclusive to Air France, and offer 3.5 square meters of private space—25% more than the previous design.

Each suite is a fully customisable travel capsule, blending elegance and functionality with a plush leather seat adorned with the airline’s iconic winged seahorse emblem and a chaise longue that converts into a two-meter-long, full-flat bed. Passengers can unwind while enjoying two 32-inch ultra-HD 4K screens, offering over 1,500 hours of entertainment, ensuring a sophisticated and immersive inflight experience.
