NEOM, the ambitious futuristic city on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast, has unveiled its first completed project: Sindalah, a luxury island and marina focussed resort.
First announced in December 2022 by HRH Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Sindalah has become NEOM's first official opening. The opening of the opulent, island destination marks an exciting milestone in the progress and continued growth of the NEOM destination.
What is NEOM?
NEOM is a vast 26,500 square-kilometre development in the northwestern region of Saudi Arabia. Upon completion, the destination will feature a network of cities, resorts, and innovative projects. Collaborating with world-renowned architects and urban planners, NEOM aims to create a desirable destination for living, working, and vacationing.
Encompassing 15 diverse developments, NEOM will include five standalone regions and 12 coastal destinations dotted along the Gulf of Aqaba. The NEOM destination includes a number of destinations which have piqued international interest such as The Line and Trojena, which is located in the mountains of Tabuk, and has been announced as host destination of the 2029 Asian Winter Games.
Blending cutting-edge technology with stunning architecture, and sustainable practices, NEOM is an incredible giga-project which will redefine tourism with groundbreaking developments that will push the boundaries of tourism and luxury travel on a global scale.

What is Sindalah?
Designed in collaboration with the visionary architectural company, LUCA DINI Design & Architecture, Sindalah is a lavish island destination, complete with a world-class marina and yacht club, a professionally designed golf club and a number of hotels to be run by internationally renowned hospitality brands.
The island's unique colour palette has inspired the design and development of Sindalah, with materials, textures, colours and flow inspired by the surrounding sea and desert. LUCA DINI Design & Architecture have used translucent, chromo-active, and iridescent materials to create a harmonious contrast with the natural rock formations and glistening sea, resulting in a truly stunning aesthetic.
Sindalah Yacht Club
Poised to become a leading luxury yachting destination for discerning travellers and yacht owners, Sindalah Yacht Club aims to offer visitors and club members a truly exceptional experience that will rival the world's most renowned yachting clubs and indulgent waterside destinations.
Ideal for fair-weather yachties, Sindalah enjoys a warm, pleasant climate year-round and has a relatively consistent wind, which makes it the ideal destination for sailing and other outdoor pursuits.
Designed and built with modernity (and sustainability) in mind, the berths of Sindalah Marina have been specially designed and built to cater to super-yachts, which often is not the case in the more time-honoured marinas and yacht clubs of Europe.
The state-of-the-art marina will be capable of accommodating a large fleet of luxurious yachts, super-yachts and charter boats: 86 berths will cater for yachts up to 50m, whilst 75 offshore buoys have been designed to be available for super-yachts up to 180m.

Sindalah Golf Club
In addition to its world-class yacht club and marina, Sindalah will also be home to professionally designed golf course and luxury club house destination.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr, renowned American golf course architect, the Sindalah Golf Course is on track to open later this year. Given its location by the sea, the course will be a challenging links-style layout, with 9 holes and 18 tees. Golfers will play to a par of 70 whilst enjoying 360 degree views of the Red Sea beyond the fairways (and the bunkers!)
Sindalah Beach Club
The Sindalah Beach Club will be developed and run in collaboration with the Kingdom's most popular music events company, MDLBeast. It is expected that this ultra-modern beach club will bring a diverse range of people to the island escape, for high-vibe performances from internationally sought-after performers and DJs.
Sindalah Hotels
Sindalah is a haven of tranquility and luxury, featuring world-class accommodations from renowned hospitality partners Marriott and Four Seasons.
With designs by LUCA DINI, each hotel will offer guests stunning views over the Red Sea from a number of beachfront villas, water-facing suites, infinity pools, and world-class spas, providing guests with an unforgettable experience. Across the five luxury properties on Sindalah, the offering will include 440 rooms, 88 villas and 218 serviced apartments.
Sindalah & Sustainability
The island is designed to be a sustainable oasis, with a focus on environmental conservation and renewable energy. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities, including diving, snorkelling, and exploring the pristine beaches. This eco-friendly design of the exclusive retreat offers a unique blend of natural beauty, cutting-edge design, and world-class amenities.
