Dreaming of a Red Sea escape? Saudi’s dazzling new overwater resort Shebara is open for bookings — with a series of exclusive deals celebrating the occasion.
Set to make its grand debut on Thursday November 7, just one year after the project was announced by owners Red Sea Global – the ultra-luxury hotel will be the fifth major property to open along the Kingdom's stunning coastline in recent months.
During the launch period, guests can snag a complimentary third night for every two booked, plus complimentary breakfast for two each day.
Also on offer is a couple's romantic getaway offer, which comes packed with perks including dinner for two, a 60-minute couples’ spa session, daily breakfast and return airport transfers.
About Shebara
A 45-minute boat ride from the mainland in the Al Wajh Lagoon, or a short seaplane hop, Shebara is Red Sea Global's first hotel project, inviting guests to check into futuristic overwater orb villas inspired by the natural environment.
Among the 73 rooms and suites, there are also several inland residences evoking the surrounding sand dunes, with each set apart to give guests a "sense of privacy".
The resort – developed by Dubai-based Killa Design and first announced in November last year – represents a string of pearls, with a stunning reception building at the centre forming the ‘pendant'.
This spectacular arrival point has been carefully positioned within a natural break in the coral reef that fringes the coastline, providing a dramatic seascape while demonstrating a broader commitment to sustainability.
Each space within the resort has been specially designed to flow with its environment, with the stainless steel villas reflecting the surface patterns of the ocean and the intense colours of the sky as they change throughout the day.
Shebara's furthest-away island is available to book exclusively for private escapes, with one four-bedroom villa and three smaller one-bedroom villas.
With a dedicated jetty for yacht mooring, a private beach and barbecue area, the island will be the ideal destination for large groups and families seeking the ultimate Red Sea experience.
Shebara's five restaurants and bars
As part of its grand launch, Shebara has revealed a tantalising line-up of restaurants, each inspired by "modern innovation" with "bold creativity and exceptional craftsmanship".
First up, Iki.Roe is a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavours, offering dishes like miso black cod, robata-grilled delights and refreshing ceviche with signature mocktails from the adults-only Solera pool bar.
Next, Ariamare – the brainchild of Michelin-starred Chef Marco Garfagnini – brings the flavours of the Mediterranean to life. Step into his pasta lab for seafood-infused plates, sharing-style tapas and a nod to sashimi, all with a distinctly European twist.
For a more laid-back vibe, Lunara serves up a “sophisticated brasserie” experience, perfect for breakfast or lunch, while SARIA invites families to gather around the grill for Levantine cuisine paired with breathtaking coastal views.
Things to do at Shebara
There’s no shortage of fun at Shebara, whether it's paddling through endless mangroves on a kayaking adventure, taking windsurfing lessons or setting sail on a catamaran –complete with private charters – guided by an "elite" team of international instructors.
Explore the vibrant underwater world surrounding the resort with snorkelling tours of the house coral reefs, or level up your skills with PADI diving courses, including globally popular open water, advanced open water and rescue diver training.
For something more laid-back, lounge beneath towering palms at the chic adults-only Solera pool with expetly crafter mocktails to keep you refreshed under the warm sun. Little ones can make a splash at the family pool, fringed with soft sands and offering stunning views of the Red Sea.
The on-site kids' club will also keep younger guests entertained with a packed schedule of nature walks, arts and crafts and marine biology programs — ensuring there's something for everyone.
Shebara spa and wellness
After all those activities, Shebara's state-of-the-art spa and wellness centre is the place to unwind.
Signature treatment options include a 75-minute pearl and green caviar hammam, which promises to "encapsulate the skin with the essence of the ocean" — removing impurities and rehydrating for the ultimate healthy glow.
The 60-minute moonlight massage uses AMRA rarity treatment oil infused with meteorite extract to enhance blood flow, supporting lymphatic drainage and facilitating the expulsion of toxin.
For two hours of pure relaxation, the Shebara signature journey starts with a delicate pearl cleanse that purifies the skin, transitioning into a rich caviar exfoliation and sculpting body cream.
The spa also has dual Jacuzzis, saunas and steam rooms – with separate facilities for men and women that also boast experience showers and ice stations – a glass-walled outdoor vitality pool, private cabanas and calming indoor relaxation lounges.
Next door, you'll find a 24-hour gym with personal trainers, a tennis court and padel court (both open from 7am-10pm) — plus a male barber shop, ladies' salon and retail boutique.
