Stay Where the Action Is: Luxury hotels headed to King Abdullah Sports City

Big things are coming to Jeddah’s King Abdullah Sports City (affectionately known as “The Jewel”) as two world-class hotels have been confirmed to open within the sprawling sports complex.

Supported by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Sports and developed in partnership with IHG Hotels & Resorts, the new contemporary and luxe hospitality properties are set to open as part of a bold vision to turn the venue into a global destination for sports, entertainment, and lifestyle.

The two hotels — Kimpton Jeddah KASC and EVEN Hotels Jeddah KASC — will bring a combined total of 585 rooms to the 16,000 square-metre sporting site. Slated to open in 2028, both hotels will be specially designed to cater to both international visitors and local fans, especially as the Kingdom gears up to host major global events like the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

Kimpton Jeddah KASC will offer 330 rooms and serve as a vibrant social hub, complete with locally inspired design, destination dining, a spa, fitness centre, and flexible event spaces. EVEN Hotels Jeddah KASC, on the other hand, will introduce a wellness-first concept to the region, with 255 rooms featuring in-room workout zones, healthy dining options, and spaces designed for movement and mindfulness.

But the hotels are just the beginning. The development will also include fan zones, athlete facilities, sports academies, retail outlets, international restaurants, and multi-purpose venues—all aimed at elevating the visitor experience and supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals.

With design and engineering led by Zuhair Fayez Partnership and operations managed by IHG, the project reflects a seamless blend of local expertise and global hospitality standards. Whether you're attending a match, traveling for business, or simply exploring Jeddah, these new hotels promise to redefine what it means to stay at the heart of the action.
