Aseer Season returns for a second edition

Aseer province is home to Abha, and sits in the southwestern area of the Kingdom.

Named after the Asir tribe, the Aseer region is known to have cooler weather than the rest of the nation, especially throughout the summer months, with light pleasant breezes and some morning fog.

And, from Saturday July 15 through to September 1 the region will host the much-anticipated Aseer Season 2023: a festival of music events, family friendly activities and an array of exciting and cultural dining experiences.

The perfect excuse to discover a new area of the Kingdom, Aseer Season events include the Abha Gala. Attendees can expect to experience the expansive panoramic views over the Abha region, with tickets starting from SAR200.

Enjoy a number of street festival events will also take place, street performers will play traditional music, local artists will display their works and a number of vendors will be selling delicious, traditional eats.

Just a quick flight from the capital, Aseer Season kicks off with Arab singer and composer, Majid Al Muhandis. Performing on stage from 9pm, the star will perform all his classic hits alongside some new compositions. Ticket prices start from SAR390.

For the brave, this year's Aseer Season will include a number of adventure sports and thrilling experiences to try. For those hoping to experience the Abha region for its wild and natural beauty, attendees can camp in the luxury campsite nestled in the heights of Al-Masqi Park, theres even a cafe to indulge in warm beverages and traditional snacks.
