Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series

Where: Takachiho, Miyazaki, Japan

The 14th edition of Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, which kicks off on 3 June in Boston, has included Takachiho as a brand-new addition to the location lineup. This cliff diving event is ideal for adrenalin junkies: high stakes, high-octane – this is an extreme sport. Leaping off the edge, these professional cliff divers hit the waters below at speeds of up to 85kmp/h. Deep in the mountains of Miyazaki, divers will plunge into the gorge and river below, performing technically perfect acrobatic dives from heights of up to 28 metres – a feat to get your heart pumping!

Lollapalooza

Feria de las Flores

La Tomatina

Held on the last Wednesday of August every year, La Tomatina is the famous tomato throwing festival that has arguably put Buñol firmly on the map. The town, close to Valencia, will be overrun with some 22,000 enthusiastic tomato throwers. It is tradition that attendees wear white as 120 tonnes of over-ripe red tomatoes fly across the small square. Could this be the world’s greatest food fight?
