SRMG, the MENA region's largest integrated media group, has introduced Asharq Discovery, a revolutionary Arabic-language infotainment platform offered in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery.

Officially launched today, Asharq Discovery boasts an extensive array of premium content, drawing from Discovery's esteemed catalog, carefully curated regional acquisitions, and a captivating lineup of original productions.

Ideal for the adventurous - both in palate and in person, the platform will host a number of programmes that will cater to a wide spectrum of genres, including adventure, food, wildlife, lifestyle, and even some exciting reality programmes, each thoughtfully adapted with Arabic voiceovers and graphics. The programming might inspire your future travel plans, or dining delight.

Proposing a brand-new view of the world to Arabic audiences interested adventure, travel and more, Asharq Discovery's programming is ideal for any wanderlust hearts. With a number of shows exploring hidden gems, locations beyond your wildest dreams and the history of various localities and the importance of acknowledging and sharing traditional dishes, there is something for everyone.

The platform's launch lineup includes shows never before available in Arabic for free, such as Gold Rush, Morgan Freeman’s Through the Wormhole, and Expedition Unknown. Each programme adding a layer of further interest to topics such as travel, traditional recipe and delicacies and even, history.

In Expedition Unknown, Josh Gates investigates the truth behind the world's most iconic and captivating legends; leaving no stone unturned, his adventures take him around the globe as he immerses himself in the communities and locations linked to each tale. Whilst Ed Stafford's First Man Out showcases a survival-game-cum-adventure-exploration of the Amazon, Asia and beyond. Follow explorer Ed Stafford, as he aims to be the first man to walk the length of the Amazon River. 

For foodies, Matbakhna al Arabi explores the different flavours of various Arabic dishes. In the fifth series, host and renowned chef, Mohammad Orfali journeys back to the roots and culture behind Arabic cuisine and traditional dishes.
