World's largest light art festival opens this week in Riyadh

The immersive third edition of Noor Riyadh will run for just over two weeks across five different locations in the capital city

This winter, the capital of the Kingdom will illuminate once more with captivating light projections and artistic installations inspired by light.

The third edition of the world's largest immersive and artistic light exhibition, Noor Riyadh, will take place from November 30 for just over two weeks until December 16.

Initially introduced as a once-off arts and culture event in November 2021, Noor Riyadh has now evolved into a much anticipated annual art and light exhibition and festival.

Under the theme'The Bright Side of the Desert Moon', the 2023 edition of the art and culture showcase, is set to exhibit over 120 works from more than 100 artists, and will across five different locations in Riyadh.

An exciting and forward thinking theme, we are looking forward to the artistic interpretations of this theme. As usual, locations across the city will light up and showcase these works, with illuminated installations and artistic creations, light projections onto buildings and performances.

Not limited to just one location, several creative and artistic hubs have been confirmed to host artistic light exhibits and include Riyadh's JAX District, King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), Wadi Hanifah, Wadi Namar and Salam Park.

Noor Riyadh 2023 Festival will feature a Contemporary Light Art Exhibition. This exhibit will showcases artworks chosen by lead exhibition curator, Neville Wakefield, in collaboration with fellow exhibition curator, Maya Al Athel. The exhibition will showcase under the theme of 'Refracting Identities, Shared Futures', and is set to be held in the JAX District of the city.
