Founded in New York in 2017, Five Iron Golf has rapidly expanded to over 36 locations globally. Its arrival in Riyadh introduces a holistic format that integrates expert instruction, bespoke club fitting, and competitive leagues into a single lifestyle destination. As the first of a planned network across the Kingdom, the KAFD venue sets the standard for how Saudi Arabia intends to integrate international sporting trends with its own unique cultural and professional landscape.
At the core of the facility is a commitment to data-driven performance: by housing both Trackman and GOLFZON systems, the venue provides a professional-grade environment that appeals to serious practitioners while remaining approachable for novices and those looking to have fun with a group of friends. This multi-system approach allows for a seamless transition between rigorous swing analysis and immersive, gamified social play, a key component in the brand's global success.
For Golf Saudi, this launch aligns with the broader objectives of Vision 2030, specifically focusing on building a sustainable and inclusive sports ecosystem. The indoor model is a practical solution to the regional climate, offering a climate-controlled "third space" that encourages participation during the height of summer.
According to Golf Saudi CEO Noah Alireza, the venue represents a significant move toward accessibility: by relocating the the golf game from peripheral golf courses on the outskirts of Riyadh, straight into the centre and the financial district, this opening aims to engage younger audiences of men and women, perhaps cultivating a new wave of golfers within an environment that seamlessly blends professional expertise with high-end entertainment.
