Aside from the actual golf taking place, the season opening Riyadh leg of the LIV Golf 2026 tour is set to deliver on its reputation as 'The Noisy Neighbour', with a series of live after-play concerts.

From February 5 to 7, the night golf spectacle returns, but it’s the after-party that will turn this golfing event into a full-throttle, four-night music festival. Inviting golf lovers and music lovers to enjoy the good vibes, the line up has been unveiled and global icons like Akon, Tyga, and Myriam Fares are set to take the stage as soon as the final putt drops.

For the Fair-Weather Fans

A quick debrief; the 2025 edition of the competition in Riyadh saw Adrian Meronk secure a wire-to-wire individual victory, and Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII dominate the team standings. A favoured leg of the tour, and the first of the season, Riyadh is a much-loved destination for golf fans and players. Riyadh Golf Club is recognised as one of the region’s most prestigious golfing venues, and is regularly referred to as ‘The Pearl of the Desert.’

And, now you already know about the concerts!

In all honesty, you probably know more than us here... But, we will give it a go.

For the 2026 season, LIV Golf has introduced an updated its format; most notably shifting from the original 54-hole signature to a traditional 72-hole, four-round stroke play competition. The league has also expanded its roster to a 57-player field, consisting of 13 four-player teams and five independent wild cards. Despite the longer format, the league maintains its fast-paced "shotgun start," where all players tee off simultaneously. The stakes are higher than ever, as every team member's score now counts toward the daily team total. This is a change that eliminates the "safety net" of dropping the worst score and forces every player to be a factor in the final standings.

The Riyadh leg of the league, serves as the season opener for 2026. The night golf game returns the floodlights, and golf fanatics can expect a high-octane field led by defending individual champion Adrian Meronk, and reigning team champions Legion XIII, captained by Jon Rahm. Fans will see a roster of heavy hitters including Bryson DeChambeau (Crushers GC), Brooks Koepka (Smash GC), Dustin Johnson (4Aces GC), and Cameron Smith (Ripper GC). Notable team changes for the new season include the rebranding of Stinger GC to Southern Guards GC and Iron Heads GC to Korean Golf Club, led by new captain Ben An. Of course, you can also expect stellar performances from all the legendary green champs like Joaquin Niemann, Sergio Garcia, and Phil Mickelson also to be in the mix.
