Riyadh Racing Season 2025-2026 gallops into action on Thursday, October 16 and runs until Saturday, February 14, 2026.
The horse racing season is a celebration of Saudi heritage, international competition, and the glamour of the equestrian world, all taking place under the lights of Riyadh's King Abdulaziz Racetrack.
The schedule is packed with some of the Kingdom’s most prestigious championships and some of the most internationally renowned horse races. Highlights include the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cups, the Crown Prince Cup on Friday, December 5, and the Saudi Cup 2026 qualifying round on Saturday, January 17, 2026. The season also features the Kings and Princes Cup Festival from December 26 to 27, as well as the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian Foundation Festival beginning on January 16, 2026.
For the first time, the support races of Prince Saud bin Salman bin Abdulaziz for locally bred horses will move from King Khalid Square in Taif, to King Abdulaziz Square in Riyadh, taking place on October 31 and dedicated to two-year-old foals and yearlings.
Across the months, fans can expect 50 racing ceremonies, featuring purebred Arabian and thoroughbred horses. The action builds up to the grand finale: the Saudi Cup, held from February 13 to 14, 2026. Worth a staggering purse, the Saudi Cup is not only the richest horse race in the world but also a global showcase for Saudi Arabia’s growing equestrian ambitions.
Beyond the track, Riyadh Racing Season brings a social buzz to the capital.
Race attendees and visitors to the Kingdom's capital can expect fashion-forward racegoers, family-friendly entertainment, and a festive atmosphere that makes the event as much about lifestyle as sport.
