What happens to an aircraft when it retires? If you’re Emirates, your planes don’t just vanish, and neither does the design that once defined them.
The UAE’s flagship airline just dropped its second collection of 'Aircrafted by Emirates'. This is a limited-edition line of chic, eco-conscious luggage and travel bags that have been made from repurposed materials once found aboard its aircraft.
The airline has spent decades shaping the way we think about air travel, through design, comfort, and consistency. It has been long known for its luxurious in-flight experience. But its creativity isn’t limited to what happens in the air. On the ground, the airline has been quietly exploring new ways to repurpose its own materials with intention and style.

The 2025 Up-Cycled Collection
The airline’s newest up-cycled luggage collection gives travel gear a whole new look.
The collection, which is selling out fast, features 167 pieces, each made using materials from retired Emirates planes gathered from the Emirates A380, as well as from Boeing 777 aircraft. The items include leather from first and business class seats, furnishings from the onboard lounge, and seatbelts repurposed into bag straps. All materials are cleaned, treated, and given a second life.
The highlights include three new trolley bag styles, two backpacks, and two handbags. One standout piece is a handbag made with fur once used on the captain’s seat, adding a very unique and creative touch.
The collection ranges from SAR 300 to SAR 1,300 and is already available through the Emirates online store. Each item is handmade in Dubai by a dedicated team of artisans or (Engineering Maintenance Assistants), who usually stitch and fix tears on aircrafts, and are now bringing their technical profession to fashion craftsmanship. As of today, 30,000 kgs of materials have been used to create Emirates luggage and bags.
More than just travel gear
The first launch sold out within days and helped raise around 6,300 SAR for charity. This year’s drop is expected to follow the same path, limited, meaningful, and fashion-forward and proceeds will be donated to children in need through the Emirates Airline Foundation. Emirates is redefining what sustainable luxury can look like, in a world of constant jet-setting.
This isn’t just a collection, it’s a statement. As luxury brands turn their focus toward sustainability, Aircrafted by Emirates stands out by showcasing environmental responsibility with meaningful design, reflecting a growing demand for conscious travellers without sacrificing beauty or functionality.
