As Saudi Arabia’s wellness scene continues to blossom, a new experience is making waves — quite literally. Set against the quiet, untouched shores of AlUqair Beach in the Eastern Province, Bayn is the Kingdom’s first women-only beach wellness retreat, and it’s rewriting what a weekend escape can look like.
Launching on May 23–24, Bayn (which means “in between” in Arabic) promises a two-day journey of mindful restoration, where movement, breath, and creative ritual meet ancient coastlines and salty air. The retreat is hosted by Mantra Studio, one of Saudi Arabia’s leading yoga and meditation spaces, founded by lululemon ambassador Muneera AlArdhi.
“Saudi Arabia is experiencing a powerful shift toward wellness,” AlArdhi said. “Bayn was created in response to that — to give women the chance to step away from daily demands and reconnect with themselves in a setting that nurtures both body and soul.”
A deeper reset
The retreat’s programming reads like a checklist for modern well-being. Sunrise yoga led by lululemon instructors. Restorative sound baths. Intentional breathwork. Personal growth workshops on journaling and vision mapping. There’s even a gut-health masterclass for those curious about how digestion impacts mood, energy and overall vitality.
Bayn also taps into creativity as a pathway to healing. Attendees can participate in hands-on sessions like flower arranging or decorating organic candles; tactile experiences that quietly encourage presence and joy.
According to AlArdhi, Bayn isn’t just a schedule of wellness activities — it’s a sensory, soulful space. “It offers women the opportunity to step away from daily demands and reconnect with themselves in a setting that nurtures both body and soul. The name Bayn symbolizes a place of connection — where land meets the sea, earth meets the sky, and the outer world meets the inner self. It is a celebration of wellness, community, and personal transformation."
A coastal location with deep roots
AlUqair Beach itself plays a starring role. Often overlooked in the buzz around Saudi’s tourism hotspots, this historic coastal stretch is home to an ancient port dating back more than 6,000 years. The retreat taps into that layered sense of time and place, inviting guests to slow down and connect — not just with their breath, but with the centuries of history beneath their feet.
“AlUqair Beach was a natural choice for Bayn. Its peaceful coastline offers a rare sense of calm — the kind of setting that allows the mind to slow, the breath to deepen, and the spirit to reset. There’s something inherently healing about being near the sea; the rhythmic sound of the waves, the open horizon, and the salt-tinged air have a way of drawing us inward while connecting us to something greater”, said AlArdhi.
Wellness, with a brand boost
Bayn is backed by AlAhsa Municipality and powered by lululemon, which will host a pop-up on-site. Participants can expect curated wellness gear and complimentary yoga mats during the retreat. The gear might be sleek, but the vibe is grounded — rooted in Saudi traditions of hospitality, reflection and healing.
