Some of the biggest names in fashion, design, beauty, and culture descended on Riyadh once again for the third edition of Hia Hub, hosted by Hia Magazine.

This year’s event, is set to take place from 3-7 November in Riyadh’s JAX District, saw names like iconic fashion model Kate Moss, Lebanese actress Nadine Njeim, and the co-creative directors of Oscar del la Renta, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia. Others involved included the digital entrepreneur and luxury consultant Nojoud AlRumaihi and the visionary Saudi digital artist Future Bedouin, among others.

Mai Badr, Hia’s editor-in-chief, said the event’s third edition will be “bigger and more dynamic,” running over the course of five days, compared to last year’s three.

The programme featured a larger and more diverse range of discussions, masterclasses, workshops, interactive installations, immersive exhibitions, and live performances. Plus, there is a collaboration with the Saudi Fashion Commission’s Fashion Futures, a leading platform for insights into the fashion sector, to help shed a better light on local and regional creatives.

“Collaborating with Fashion Futures, we focused on inspiring the emerging generation of fashion entrepreneurs and creatives by providing them with the opportunity to learn and interact with leading fashion and design institutions from around the world. These were represented by directors and heads of departments in fashion institutes, senior educators, consultants, and researchers on crucial issues such as sustainability,” Badr said.

“These interactions were through talks and masterclasses, while fostering ideas, pushing new in-depth discussions that challenge the boundaries of the industry, and facilitating the exchange of ideas, concerns, and hopes to further grow the industry for the better.”

Hia Hub also introduced a new shopping hub, which the editor-in-chief expects to be a hit among visitors and guests. In our chat, Badr emphasised on this year’s simplified ticketing options, encompassing different passes for one day, five days, masterclasses, workshops, seminars, and even all-access VIP tickets with exclusive backstage access and priority admission to all masterclasses. “Whatever guests were seeking from attending the event, they found the perfect ticket choice for them,” she said.

Hia Hub was launched in 2021 with a mission to provide a dedicated platform for luxury fashion, style, beauty, art, and culture reflective of Saudi’s blossoming cultural renaissance and rising support for its creative sectors.

“Since then, Hia Hub has cemented itself as the largest fashion and lifestyle conference in our region; a flagship event that the audience excitedly awaits every year,” Badr said. “This time focusing more than ever on honouring contributions of Arab talents in shaping the worlds of fashion, art, and design.”

A live entertainment programme, including the Billboard Arabia live music stage and various dining and lounge spaces, completed the inspirational fashion experience, alongside art installations.

Ultimately, Hia Hub is a place to relish in beauty as much as it offers networking opportunities for the region’s fashion players. It is a place for dialogue, creativity, and economic and social growth – especially for the Kingdom as it becomes a crucial regional and international fashion capital.

As Badr stated: “It is a chance for emerging Saudi talents to connect and network with each other and with established brands, experts, and leaders from the region and beyond.”
