HRH Prince Mohammed Alfaisal Alsaud founded the homegrown Saudi Arabian haute perfumery house Batlah out of a deep reverence for the Kingdom's rich fragrance heritage and a desire to return to the purist roots of fine perfumery.
Rooted in the art of traditional craftsmanship, Batlah is dedicated to reviving the legacy of natural fragrance-making using high quality, curated and sourced ingredients. The brand works exclusively with rare, high-quality essential oils and raw ingredients — such as the Saudi Taif rose, Indian oud, and natural musk — to create scents that have been expertly blended by renowned French nose Amandine Galliano. By marrying time-honoured Middle Eastern heritage with advanced modern technology, Batlah crafts deeply sophisticated, immersive and clean-label scents like Aqua, Sunshower, and Cashmere, offering fragrance lovers a contemporary and poetic interpretation of regional luxury and local scent.
Sharing his expert approach to seasonal scenting, HRH Prince Mohammed Alfaisal Alsaud breaks down three golden rules to help your fragrance withstand the summer heat.
Don't spray your perfume directly on the skin
For a richer and longer-lasting scent experience, spray onto clothing rather than skin. Fabrics hold fragrance beautifully, allowing the notes to unfold gradually throughout the day.
Choose protected areas of your clothing
Apply the fragrance to areas that are not directly exposed to airflow, such as the inside of jackets, beneath the abaya, or within the folds of the shemagh. This helps preserve the scent and allows it to linger for longer.
The number one rule is simple: the more you spray, the longer it stays
Generous application creates a stronger scent presence and extends longevity throughout the day. Don't be shy with your sprays, the richer the coverage, the longer the fragrance accompanies you.
