The Red Sea International Film Festival (Red Sea IFF) and the Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG) have announced the renewal of their major ongoing sponsorship. The partnership, now entering its fifth consecutive year, is aimed at supporting creative professionals and further developing the cinematic landscape across the region.
The sponsorship was revealed in Jeddah, confirming SRMG's pivotal role in supporting the cinematic movement in the Kingdom and enhancing development and creativity pathways in the industry through its diverse media platforms. The fifth edition of the festival is scheduled to be held at the Culture Square in Jeddah's historic Al Balad district from December 4 to 13, 2025.
SRMG, one of the region’s leading media companies, will significantly contribute to enabling content creation, highlighting new talents, enriching the cinematic experience, and strengthening the festival’s presence both regionally and internationally.
Faisal Baltyuor, CEO of the Red Sea Film Foundation, expressed his pleasure with the ongoing collaboration: “We are pleased to continue our collaboration with SRMG as our Official Media Partner for Red Sea International Film Festival 2025. Their extensive media network and commitment to elevating regional storytelling strengthen our ability to showcase the achievements of filmmakers from Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, and beyond. Together, we are supporting the growth of a dynamic film industry and sharing the stories that shape our cultural landscape with global audiences.”
Through the media house's extensive integrated media ecosystem, SRMG will provide comprehensive coverage of the festival’s events. This strategic support is aligned with the media group's commitment to shedding light on stories that express the ambitions of creators, backing local and regional talents, and showcasing artistic works that form part of the thriving creative movement in the region.
The Red Sea International Film Festival is widely recognised as one of the main pillars of the cultural scene in the region, supporting filmmakers via its screenings, professional programs, funding initiatives, and platforms which are receiving increasing global attention. The renewed partnership is set to reinforce the festival's mission to highlight impactful stories, celebrate diverse voices, and empower the new generation of talents inside and outside the Kingdom.
Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer at SRMG, Bassil Almouallimi, commented on the ongoing partnership, stating: “Red Sea International Film Festival continues to play a defining role in positioning Saudi Arabia as a global centre for film and creativity.
