New AlUla winter schedule adds 27 weekly regional connections

This winter season AlUla International Airport (ULH) is set to significantly boost its air connectivity, welcoming an expanded schedule that features a total of 27 direct flights per week.

This surge in new, seasonal connections to the ancient oasis city, and increased capacity has been designed to accommodate the growing number of visitors interested in visiting the UNESCO-recognised destination, in addition to those heading to the ancient Saudi Arabian city for its rich winter calendar of events coupled with the enjoyable, cooler weather.

With AlUla coming alive in the winter months with a selection of family friendly events, live musical performances from internationally and regionally renowned stars, this increased winter flight schedule makes AlUla is easily accessible to those both within the Kingdom, and outside. For 2025, the newly announced winter flight schedule will link numerous regional destinations to AlUla with direct flights, these more regular operations set to take off from October 26, 2025, and will run until the end of the winter/spring season in March 28, 2026.

With plenty of direct routes connecting the Kingdom's capital city and Red Sea city of Jeddah to AlUla, a selection of new regional routes are set to be dramatically enhanced, notably through the services of local powerhouse airlines such as Qatar Airways, FlyDubai, Flynas, Saudia and Royal Jordanian.

Qatar Airways will operate three weekly connections from its global hub in Doha, connecting AlUla with a massive international network spanning over 90 countries. Similarly, the UAE's budget-friendly airline, Flydubai is set to offer three weekly services to and from Dubai.

Further strengthening regional and cultural ties is the reintroduction of Royal Jordanian’s twice-weekly service connecting AlUla with the Jordanian capital of Amman. This route serves as a historical bridge, linking Saudi Arabia's first UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hegra, with the ancient Nabataean city of Petra.

Domestically, connectivity remains robust, with the network supported by local carriers. The Kingdom's national carrier, Saudia, will maintain two daily direct flights linking AlUla with both Riyadh and Jeddah throughout the winter period, while budget carrier, Flynas will operate five weekly flights from the capital of Riyadh, in addition to Dammam.
