Uber is elevating luxury travel on the Amalfi Coast this summer with the launch of two exclusive high-end transportation services: say hello to helicopter transfers to Capri and private boat cruises from Sorrento. Available only during the summer months, these premium offerings provide visitors with seamless, stylish travel options to explore one of Italy’s most breathtaking destinations.
These new offerings arrive just as Salerno Airport opens to international flights, expected to bring millions of additional visitors to the coast in the coming months.
Book an Uber-copter to Capri
Starting from July 26, Uber users can reserve a helicopter ride between Sorrento and Capri through the Uber app. The service runs on Saturdays and Sundays through August 24, where each trip includes transportation to and from the helipad.
Passengers fly from Sorrento at 9am and return from Capri by 5pm. The helicopter, which fits up to six people, is operated by two pilots for added safety. A round trip costs SAR6,500 for up to six passengers, and SAR1,000 per passenger.
Or Cruise the Amalfi Coast via Uber Boat
If helicopters aren't quite your thing, why not opt for a private, luxury boat? This summer, Uber users can book an Uber Boat for the ultimate Amalfi experience. Leaving from the beautiful Sorrento Marina every weekend day (Saturday and Sunday) from 10am, guests can enjoy a four-hour private cruise.
Only available during the summer months, from July 26 to August 24, each motor boat can accommodate up to 12 people. The four hour ride offers guests a guided tour of the coastline’s highlights, including coves only accessible via sea, awe-inspiring cliff faces and incredibly beautiful seaside towns.
The best part? Uber is offering this exclusive experience completely free during its initial launch, making luxury travel on the Amalfi Coast even more accessible.

According to data released by Uber, in 2024 more than 400,000 international customers used the Uber app in Italy last summer. And approximately 60,000 Uber users have opened the Uber App on the Amalfi Coast in the past 12 months alone. With sleek helicopters, stylish boats, and scheduled rides all accessible through one app, Uber is helping travellers explore the Amalfi Coast in a whole new way this summer, by land, sea, and sky.
Reservations for Uber Copter and Uber Boat open on June 25, with a minimum 48-hour booking window. Of course, for safety reasons the reservations for both services are wholly dependent on weather conditions and availability, so early planning is recommended.
In addition to its new offerings, Uber is expanding its booking feature — Uber Reserve — to the Amalfi Coast. Uber's advanced booking feature, Uber Reserve, lets users schedule rides up to 48 hours in advance, ensuring a seamless travel experience—ideal for avoiding long summer wait times and securing timely airport pickups.
How to reserve a ride:
- Open the Uber app.
- Then select your preferred method of transport, either Uber Copter or Uber Boat.
- Choose your travel date and pickup location.
- Confirm your reservation. You’ll receive an email once it’s approved.
Uber Boat and Uber-Copter will be available to reserve via the Uber App from June 25
