In November 2023, Riyadh was declared the host city for Expo 2030, and now, just four years away and with an anticipated visitor count in the tens of millions, Riyadh Expo 2030 represents the physical manifestation of a decade of unprecedented progress by the Kingdom.

The Kingdom's objective is to host the first environmentally friendly World Expo with zero carbon emissions. Riyadh Expo 2030 will be powered by clean resources, predominantly solar energy, and high standards for resource efficiency, biodiversity enhancement and food waste reduction will be implemented alongside green waste management and recycling.

The proposed site Riyadh Expo 2030 will be just one metro stop from the capital city's international airport, King Salman International Airport. This will make the Expo 2030 site very accessible to travellers from across the world.

Under the main theme of Together for a Foresighted Tomorrow, Riyadh Expo 2030 will highlight three sub-themes: 'Prosperity for All', 'Climate Action' and 'A Different Tomorrow'. These sub-themes will be represented in on-site pavilions.

The World Expo is held every five years in a different host city. And, the Kingdom's capital city, Riyadh, is poised to be the location of Expo 2030. Although seven years away, plans are already in full swing to design, create and establish a unique and futuristic World Expo site in Riyadh.

Visitors and influential figures from around the globe will be able to visit the World Expo 2030 for just six months, from October 1, 2030, through to March 31, 2031.

226 represents the number of nations that will be represented at the Expo 2030 site in a variety of forms, from pavilions to companies and international organisations from a number of different countries. Universities, entrepreneurs, artists and innovators will also be in attendance.

The number of metres squared, upon which Riyadh's Expo 2030 site is set to be built. Across 6.6 million metres squared or 6.6 kilometres squared, the Expo 2030 site will showcase an expansive and innovative urban location with sustainability, accessibility and inclusion for all, at the heart of the build.

41 Million

It is estimated that the Riyadh Expo 2030 site will receive approximately 41 million visitors, many from the local and surrounding regions, and many more from around the globe. This offers the nation further opportnity to share our culture, heritage and national pride with the world.

343 Million

Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs noted that $343 million would be made available to supporting 100 countries during Riyadh Expo 2030. This investment will help these countries in areas such as pavilion construction, maintenance, technical support, travel, and hosting events.

1 Billion

Almost 1 billion visitors are expected to experience Riyadh Expo 2030 via the Metaverse. Embracing the growth of experiences via digital spaces, will further make Expo 2030 accessible to more people, and extend the reach of the Expo beyond just on-the-ground visitors.

7.8 Billion

It was confirmed in June 2023, that Saudi Arabia has allocated $7.8 billion worth of investments for Expo 2030.
