Unlocking History: Free entry to Diriyah extended

Earlier this summer, we reported that visitors from at home and abroad could visit Diriyah for free until August. From June through until Thursday, 31 August, all visitors to Diriyah enjoyed entry to the area for free with the Diriyah Summer Access 2023 pass.

From this week this free summer access to Diriyah has been extended until Saturday, September 30.

This free access encompasses all areas of the historic Diriyah area, allowing visitors to wander all areas including At-Turaif and Diriyah without charge, this access will also include Bujairi Terrace.

As part of the broader redevelopment plan for the Diriyah region, the Bujairi Terrace made a grand entrance in late 2022, covering an expansive area of 15,000 square meters. Aiming to be, and positioned to be the premier dining destination in the region, Bujairi Terrace will offer a remarkable array of 21 distinct dining concepts.

Notably, Bujairi Terrace already boasts renowned restaurants such as Hakkasan, Long Chim, and Cristiano Ronaldo's Tatel among its culinary offerings. And, close by at the Diriyah Gate complex, the newly opened Flamingo Room by tashas is already making waves in its first week.

Prior to the launch of the Diriyah Access Summer Pass 2023, visitors were required to pay an entrance fee ranging from SAR 100 to SAR 200 per person to access the area. It's worth noting that this pricing structure is expected to be reinstated in October.

Therefore, the present moment presents a golden opportunity to maximise the benefits of the Diriyah Access Summer Pass 2023 and explore a UNESCO Heritage Site in Saudi Arabia while also indulging in some delectable dining choices, all conveniently located in a single destination.

There are lots of exciting events occurring in Diriyah later this year including the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale in February 2024.
