Riyadh Season 2023: All the best family friendly entertainment to be found this year

This year's edition of Riyadh Season is set to be another festival of family friendly fun.

Although there are plenty of adult-only events occurring, there are plenty of family friendly activities and events to keep everyone entertained.

From engaging and interactive play zones to life-sized versions of your kid's favourite cartoon characters, there is more than ever featured at this year's Riyadh Season that will most definitely keep the little ones entertained.

So if you're attempting to entertain the kids, and are looking to know which events are going on - here is all you need to know:

Disney: The Castle

Expected to be the star of the show for any Disney fans (and little ones).

The iconic, fairytale castle will make its first debut outside of the 'Happiest Place on Earth', to celebrate its centennial. Immerse yourself in a world of fairytales and memorable music numbers, Disney: The Castle promises a number of sensational shows, each inspired by the best-of-the-best Disney movies, and of course, the castle will also be the ideal spot to grab a photo.

The Castle will be located in Boulevard City, with live performances taking place in the shadows of the steeples.

Live concerts will take place right in front of the majestic castle in Boulevard City. The little ons (and you) will get the opportunity to experience musical performances inspired by Disney classics such as Aladdin and The Little Mermaid, alongside more modern cartoon creations such as Encanto and Frozen. For the bigger kids there will even be a hands-on drumming workshop to celebrate the iconic Lion King soundtrack.

World of Barbie

After the incredible international reaction to the summer blockbuster that was and is Barbie The Movie, Riyadh Season 2023 introduces a new entertainment area - World of Barbie. Hitting all the nostalgic feels for 90s kids, and introducing a new generation to the icon that is Barbie.

Get a taste of Barbie's sweet-pink-life at this new attraction. With interactive activities including a Barbie mini van, and a miniature art exhibition filled with all things Barbie, there will be something for the mega-fans and the mini fans alike.

Educational Entertainment for Little Ones

There's a life-sized version of Monopoly, arguably the world's most popular board game. And, the little ones will love Blippi Wonders, a comprehensive education and entertainment experience featuring Blippi himself. There will also be a Cocomelon Playdate area, offering interactive engagement with beloved characters for children and families.

The little ones will also find themselves captivated by Play-O-City powered by Hasbro, featuring Power Rangers, My Little Pony, Transformers, Tonka, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Connect 4, and more.

Riyadh Zoo

For anyone (not just children), Riyadh Zoo is now offering an array of experiences for all ages. At the recently revamped Riyadh Zoo, you will be able to meet the region's first red panda. At the Enchanted Forest, you will be able to encounter all types of animals from bears to llamas, whilst in The Swamp exhibit you can see giant crocodiles. With many more animals and a wide selection of exhibits to be seen, you're bound to spot your favourite animal.
