And, the Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh, announced that the this year's Riyadh Season, drew an impressive one million visitors during its inaugural week.

The season commenced with a grand opening ceremony, hosting the global combat spectacle, The Battle of the Baddest. Hosted in the brand new Kingdom Arena, Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou took to the ring in front on thousands of onlookers, including some famous faces such as Conor McGregor, Cristiano Ronaldo, Eminem and boxing legends Sugar Ray Leonard and Mike Tyson.

The head-to-head bout was a tight fight, and the result when to the judging panel - ultimately Tyson Fury emerged victorious, and eternally unbeaten, and was awarded the prestigious Riyadh Season Belt.

In an announcement ahead of the commencement of Riyadh Season 2023, Alalshikh said that the Kingdom expects the fourth edition of the annual seasonal event to attract 10 million to 12 million visitors from both at home and abroad. Riyadh Season 2023 is set to run for three months, if not a little longer, so we are expecting that these initial, expected figures for visitors will be exceeded.
