The Ministry of Sports has announced that Saudi Arabia will once again host the prestigious Spanish Super Cup (Supercopa de España) in January 2026.

Jeddah as a Sporting Hub
Saudi Arabia is rapidly establishing itself as a premier destination for high-octane sporting events.
From boxing and MMA events in Riyadh, to desert racing in the Kingdom's Empty Quarter, a half marathon in the UNESCO protected area of Al Balad and global sailing championships in Jeddah, the nation continues to solidify its position in the sporting industry, by hosting a diverse range of thrilling sporting experiences.
In a relatively unexpected announcement in early September, it was confirm that Jeddah would be the new destination for the Saudi Arabian leg of internationally renowned Formula E racing, known as the E-Prix. After being held just outside the capital city of Riyadh, in the historic UNESCO World Heritage site of Diriyah for the last six years, the electrifying E-Prix race will now take place on the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, the same circuit used for the Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
