From August 1, flynas will introduce a direct flight from Riyadh to Moscow

Saudi Arabia's low cost carrier flynas has confirmed the launch of a direct flight route between Riyadh and Moscow, commencing on 1 August 2025.

At the moment all current flight routes connecting the two cities involve at least one stopover, so this new direct flight is slated to be very popular.

The new direct flight route will be launched in conjunction with the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), and will operate three times weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The new and regular route will link passengers travelling between the capital's King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, with Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow.

This new service forms part of flynas’ broader network expansion, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s National Civil Aviation Strategy, which targets connectivity to 250 international destinations by 2030.

True to its slogan — “We Connect the World to the Kingdom” — the low-cost carrier is contributing to increased global access. As international routes grow and tourism goals intensify, particularly under the Vision 2030 initiative, efforts to attract 150 million annual visitors are being supported by strategic collaboration with the Saudi Tourism Authority to enhance bilateral travel opportunities.

To service this new route, flynas will deploy its modern aircraft fleet, including Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX 8, on the 4.5-hour journey, offering passengers streamlined travel between the Saudi capital and Russia’s capital city and cultural hub. The route is set to satisfy the growing demand for travel between the two nations, and enhance access for Russian visitors to explore Saudi landmarks and iconic destinations including Diriyah, AlUla, and the Red Sea coast, while providing Saudi travellers direct entry into Moscow’s cultural institutions, dining scene, and historic sites.

The launch underscores ongoing efforts by Saudi Arabia to strengthen its global aviation links and expand travel opportunities as part of Vision 2030.
